Better Is Being There

Overcoming life’s struggles, no matter their scope and emotional toll, always leaves a mark on a person’s face. These marks are what makes us beautiful, and they were something we wanted to see in our cast. We needed properly trained, diverse actors and actresses for the main roles, as well as non-actors with an incredible, strong aura who had experienced the struggles portrayed in real life. We wanted to avoid at all costs falling into the typical trap of relying on an average commercial cast that is readily available for jobs like this.
